COUNTDOWN TO MOVING DAY THREE:

COUNTDOWN TO MOVING DAY THREE:

RUNNING SCARED:

I was out early this morning
As milk was badly needed.
Oh, for a cup of coffee,
And my tummy needed feeding.

When I had my breakfast
I tried to tackle the many tasks.
But somehow I began to feel scared.
Why? to myself I did ask.

This apartment has many bad memories,
Yet I feel I want to stay.
It's one thing to move WHEN one wants,
But I'm being told "On your way".

I've always had friends and family on hand
When I've in the past.
But I have none of those.
This time alas.

Only Monday and Tuesday
To get the final things done.
Like the song "Running Scared"
It's certainly not going to be fun.

  3. Hang in there, moving is a difficult and emotional time. Once you are settled in your new place I am sure you will start to feel more positive about it all.

  4. Hello Yvonne,

Don't be scared. Everything will go smoothly. You are just frightened of the change in location. You will get friends there too. We are all frightened of change but change is the only permanent thing in life. Shakespeare said that the actual fears are less frightening than fearful imaginings. Someone else said that there is nothing to fear except fear itself.

You will be very fine and well settled in a few days time. I am praying for you.

    Best wishes

  5. I think most of us are uncomfortable with change, Yvonne, especially when it's forced upon us and not of our own choosing. Myself, I like things to stay the same. Hugs and prayers are with you that you will adore your new place and make many new friends. God bless.

  6. I don't like change one bit, but that's life. It changes sometimes without one realising it.
    Thanks for passing by.
