HOLDING HANDS:
Holding hands
As we walked down the aisle.
The man of my dreams
Me, with a radiant smile.
Holding hands,
We made plans we made dreams.
The future looked rosy,
Like summer's sun beams.
Holding hands
I gave birth to a son.
Gazing down in wonder,
A new life begun.
Holding hands
Three years on/
I presented you
With another son.
Holding hands
My head in a whirl,
I brought into the world
Our little girl/
Holding hands
We weathered the storms,
Snuggled by the fire
To keep ourselves warm.
Holding hands
As the children flew the nest.
Our job completed,
They knew their own minds best.
Holding hands
While you slept.
My heart broken,
Alone as I wept.
Holding hands
With a heavy heart.
I was with you
"Til death did us part.

Moments of My Life:
So few people hold hands for the duration like that, Yvonne. You were devoted and understood the real meaning of love.

ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment Pat , most appreciated.
Holding hands can make one feel so young and time stops. But the good feelings linger on. Yes it is a good feeling to feel the warmth!
