IV'E BEEN SHOT TWICE:

IV'E BEEN SHOT TWICE:

Today I have been to the doctors.
To have my shoulder's shot.
I go through this every six months,
And like it? I certainly do not.

The pain was more evident this time,
Owing to my having to move.
So I hope the shots will be as effevtive,
Only time will tell and prove.

I was supposed to have gone tomorrow,
But was asked if today will do at short notice.
It appears the doctor won't be at the surgery tomorrow
She confirmed she has a slipped disc.

She herself is having a shot tomorrow.
I can relate to her condition with sympathy.
As back in nineteen eighty nine.
The same thing happened to me.

Well I'm off to rest my weary shoulders,
See you later in the day.
Hopefully the pain will have subsided.
One can only hope and pray.

  1. Hope the shots help your shoulder. You're probably really sore after moving.

  3. I hope you feel better! Curl up with a cat. I'm sure a putting cat will help ease the pain.

    1. I used to have a cat many years ago, she was diabetic and I had to give her two shots of insulin daily, now I know how she must have felt.
Thanks for coming by and comment, very much appreciated.

  7. I'm glad you're pain-free, Yvonne. It's not a good way to live. Just a little pain, then life is back to being enjoyable. Well-worth it, I'm betting.
