THE A TO Z CHALLENGE 2015: I IS FOR IN DREAMS:

WELCOME TO THE NINTH LETTER OF
THE A TO Z CHALLENGE 2015:
AGAIN I WILL CHOOSE A SONG TITLE
THEN WRITE MY OWN POEM:

I IS FOR IN DREAMS
RECORDED BY ROY ORBISON:
Sometimes I creep into my children's room
While they are fast asleep.
My misty eyes survey them
My thoughts are very deep.

What are they dreaming about?
My heart overwhelmed with love.
Are they chasing rainbows
Or on the wings of a dove?

Perhaps they're on a pirate ship
Alongside Captain Hook.
Sailing across the high seas,
Just like a story book.

Of course they could be Batman,
Or even Dr. Who.
Or possibly Peter Pan,
The little boy that flew.

As I look in all their innocence,
They only see skies of blue.
I whisper a silent prayer
Wishing all their dreams come true.
