THE A TO Z CHALLENGE 2015: Z IS FOR ZING WENT THE STRINGS OF MY HEART:

 WELCOME TO OUR LAST LETTER
OF THE A TO Z CHALLENGE 2015:
I WOULD LIKE TO THANK ALL
WHO HAVE SUPPORTED ME
THIS PAST MONTH.
I WILL CHOOSE A FINAL SONG TITLE
AND ADD MY OWN POEM:

Z
is for
ZING WENT THE STRINGS OF MY HEART
RECORDED BY FRANK SINATRA:

When I attended his first show.
Zing went the strings of my heart.
Little did I realise
That this was only the start.
 The start of something special
That would take me to many places,
Having a wonderful time
And meeting new faces.

So many places in The US, I've been,
Nashville, Las vegas, Branson, to name but a few.
North and Southern Ireland
As so many fans do.

He's helped me through many trials and tribulations
Because he's that sort of guy,
He's an inspiration to many
That's the reason why.

He sings songs of rock and pop,
Inspirational and songs of yesteryear.
Though when he sings of his late mother,
It always evokes a silent tear.

We've also had many a laugh
doing charity walks at Blackpool.

I even bought him an ice cream
To keep himself cool.

I did some poetry postcards
For his charity.
Raised quite a bit of money
Giving him a cheque as you can see.

 I couldn't do a Challenge without
Mentioning Danny Boy.
When I see him again,
Zing goes the strings of my heart,
With delight and joy.

ONCE AGAIN THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT:

  2. Yes Alex I did it. Sometimes it was a hard slog but I am not one to give in.
Had to get Daniel in somewhere so I left him to last.
    Pros we are.
Thanks for the comment and visit.

  3. Congratulations on completing your challenge Yvonne, that could not have been easy. I would have a hard time putting together a poem, never mind doing an a-z challenge. You make it look so effortless.

    Great poem as always. :)
