HOME SWEET HOME:

HOME SWEET HOME:

It's lovely to go on holiday,
For a week or two.
To go to  a different coast
To sit and admire the views.

To take one's children walking
To get some excercise.
So they won't become lazy,
I think is very wise.

But as the days go by,
There's little things you miss.
The chimming of the hall clock,
And over the craggy mountains the mist.

The cheery greeting of the mailman,
As he delivers the daily mail.
Saying"How's you doing Yvonne?
"Hope everything is well"

I miss the comfy settee,
That we all squeeze on.
When we watch TV.
Or perhaps a sing song.

It's nice to go away,
Just for a week or two.
But it's home sweet home for me,
Is it the same for you?

  6. I love being home after being away. It's so comforting to sleep again on my own pillow and look out my windows and see the backyard and all the birds and wildlife.

  8. Yes. We must go away for a time just so we can truly appreciate where we live.

  11. A vacation is a real booster. One week away can wash away the blues for the rest of the months. Not had one for sometime now though!
