THOUGHTS OF THE WEEK-END:

THOUGHTS OF THE WEEK-END:
Although it's only Thursday,
My thoughts wander to the week-end.
It's grand daughter's Lara's birthday
And today her card I did send.

As you know I don't see my family,
But who can forget special days?
My thoughts will be of her,
On her "Day" on Sunday.

This is the girl I wrote
As Ebony Eyes in the A to Z.
I can't say she looks
Much like me.

Oh yes my thoughts will be with her,
Her having lots of fun.
With her two brothers Josh and TJ,
I expect her excitement has already begun.

It would be nice to get a call on Sunday,
I doubt it, but I still have hope.
You see it's my birthday also.
But alone I will have to cope.

May the tenth is a special day,
In many, many ways.
Lara still a teenager...me turning another page.
Let's hope the sun do shine on this day of days.

  3. I sure hope you're going to receive a phone call on Sunday... It's Mother's Day as well. Who could ignore her Mother on her birthday and the Mother's Day at the same time? I don't think I could ever do it, no matter how upset I was with my Mom. ((Hugs)) dear friend. :)

    1. It's not mother's day here, we had ours in March, I only heard from my son in Spain.
So I am not expecting to hear from my UK SIBLINGS or grandchildren.
      Many thanks for your comment.

  5. Five years is a long time but if you sent a card then they know they always have that option to make the call and one day I am sure it will happen! Wishing you all the very best for your up-coming birthday - what's on your present list? Special Teaching at Pempi’s Palace
