LONG LIVE ROCK"N" ROLL

 LONG LIVE ROCK "N" ROLL:
Long Tall Sally and Poetry In Motion
They go hand in  hand.
Great Balls of Fire sung by Jerry Lee Lewis,
Was heard throughout the land.

Are You Lonesome Tonight at The Heartbreak Hotel
Cause I Can't Help Falling In Love With  You.
Are just three songs that Elvis sang
Can you remember them too?

Be My Guest when You Come On Over To My Place,
Just Knock Three Times On The Door.
Donna will be there with Johnny B. Goode
Also Alice who lives next door.

Oh Boy, That'll Be The Day when you Walk Right Back,
When? You Never Can Tell.
You're Only Sixteen, but I'm Hopelessly Devoted To You,
Yes you My Calendar Girl

Forget the Words we had on that Beautiful Sunday,
You Were Wonderful Tonight.
I'm a Day Dream Believer is The Carnival Over?
Because I Miss You Nights.

Do you belong to Ole Man Trouble
Who you met At The Hop?
Do you belong to Yesterday
But Don't Go Breaking My Heart.

Long live Rock "n" Roll I say.
Don't cry into your pillow.
I'm A Believer Walking Back To Happiness,
Is This The Way To Amarillo?
Who is the best New Guitarist on the scene today?

How many song titles could you see in the above post?

  1. Hi Yvonne,

Your poetry rocks! Nicely done although I have to admit I can't quite figure out the number of song titles within your prose.

The best guitarist I've heard whether New or from the past, is Frank Marino from a band named Mahogany Rush.

    Thanks for this, Yvonne.

    Gary :)

Best guitarist right now? John Petrucci of Dream Theater.

You are being a little modest about the Best Guiltarist how about some one who name begins AJC?

  4. Thanks for the memories, Yvonne. These songs will be playing in my head all day now. I even have a lot of them on CDs. The Rock and Roll years were my years. :) I counted 27, must go back and see which ones I missed. Have a lovely day.
