Today is my son's birthday and Thursday his wife's
MY SON:
Today I celebrate
The birth of my second son.
Recalling with nostalgia
When life for you begun
.
.
We were so proud of you,
As the years did fly.
Always a football at the ready,
As I sit here recalling with a deep sigh.
Then your life changed,
As you moved overseas to Spain.
Got a job, a place to live,
Met a lovely person, Kelly was her name.
In due course you married,
A proud day for me I recall.
It was a lovely wedding,
We certainly had a ball.
Today I sit and ponder,
Why I, your mother my kids have caused me pain.
I thought you were different from the others,
But alas you're just the same.
But Happy Birthday son,
Enjoy your day through and through.
Whatever you think of me I'm you're mum
And my unconditional love goes to you.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY:

Happy birthday to your son and DIL. By and by things will change for the better. Takes a bit of time, Yvonne, but it'll be ok!

Happy birthday to your son and daughter-in-law. That's a shame he's like your other two kids.
ReplyDeleteThanks Diane, good of you to comment, I agree with you.

Don't give up on him. I hope he didn't follow the same path.
ReplyDeleteThe word "Hope" is getting shorter and shorter Alex.
