MEMORIES:

MEMORIES:
Twas on the 15th. of November,
Work for the day all done.
My friend and myself
Went dancing that night entirely for fun.

We'd been there about a hour,
Dancing to the music of the day.
When suddenly two men came into view
And came across our way

.
We danced with each other in turn
A lovely night we had,
It was now near closing time
I was now feeling quite sad

You see, one of the men in particular(him with sun glasses)
Took my fancy from the start.
Hoping he'd ask me out again,
I felt the beating of my heart.

I remarked to my friend in the cloakroom,
"I have a feeling about this one"
Telling me not to be stupid,
After all it was only a bit of fun.

As we departed the cloakroom,
They were waiting there outside.
Asking me for a date,
My pleasure I couldn't hide.

He, 5 days earlier had
Celebrated his 21st birthday.
To a belated party he asked me to go
Wild horses wouldn't keep me away.

To cut a long story short,
2 years later we were wed.
Remembering that night at the dance hall,
And the words to my friend I said.

We had a wonderful marriage,
35 tears it did last.
Sadly he's no longer with me,
But have wonderful memories of the past.
