WELCOME TO AUTUMN:

WELCOME TO AUTUMN:
From my book"WRITTENFROM THE HEART"
When August draws to a close,
When the summer sun declines.
The season of Autumn  has arrived,
Many memories come to mind.

Gone are the bluebells from the woods,
A picture close to my heart.
The birds migrate to sunnier climates,
They're making an early start.

The squirrels are hiding food.
To last the winter and fall.
I love to watch them from the window,
As they clamber the trees so tall.

The discarded leaves begin to fall.
From the sad looking trees.
I sweep them from the pathway,
So they don't reach my knees.

Autumn is the season
My loved one went away.
He used to love this season
As he lived from day to day

.
"Forever Autumn" was his   favourite song,
This I do recall.
I hope your Autumn is just grand,
My dear friends so dear, one and all.

  2. I have learned to love fall since I write full time. Walking through the leaves is one of my favorite things and seeing the geese flying south always tugs at something inside me.

  3. Autumn is such a rich colorful time, before everyone settles down and digs in to stay warm and out of the cold.
