WHAT I DID LAST SATURDAY:

WHAT I DID LAST SATURDAY:

Above is a photo of  the Bic at Bournemouth,
In other words "Bournemouth International Centre."
It has quite a few conference rooms,
Also three theatres.

Last Saturday I knew what I had to do,
I had to arise earlier and get all jobs done.
Then that done and dusted,
Prepare myself for a long call on the phone.

I dialled the appropriate number,
Was informed I was number 85 in the queue,
Sat on the bed with a packet of cookies,
Reading this you must think me mad....don't you?

I sat there as the queue got shorter,
About an hour at least.
Then I heard the magic words
Saying your call will be next.

A voice from the other end
Said "Can I be of help?"
Have you any tickets left for Daniel O Donnell?
"Just a few" I was informed, me thought oh hell.

How many do you require he asked?
"Only one for each night" I replied.
"Well that would be easy" he said,
I felt so happy I could have cried.

The two concerts are not until next September,
But they are snapped up so fast.
It Might As Well Rain Until Next September
I have something to look forward to at last.

I paid by my credit card,
My heart full of joy.
I felt so excited that next year
I'll be seeing Danny Boy.

  3. I'm glad you got your tickets! Since you just got one, I'm sure you got much closer to the stage than you would've with two or more.

  6. Wonderful! When it's someone you really want to see, you'll hand on as long as possible for those tickets. You should see my husband and I the morning tickets for Trans Siberian Orchestra go on sale. We're both at our computers, fingers poised to hit the buttong the moment it happens.
