SOMEONE LEFT A CAT OUT IN THE RAIN:

SOMEONE LEFT A CAT OUT IN THE RAIN.;

Last night I went ro bed early,
Enough of the pouring rain.
It had been like that all overChristmas,
And is forcasted to remain.

Just as I was going to my slumber,
With wind and rain "Having Fun".
I pulled the bedclothes over my ears,
Then a sad noise had begun.

It was a poor cat,
Who was probably let out for the night.
It was below my bedroom window,
Looking bedragled and such a sight.

There are many cats in my street,
So who it belonged to Heaven knows.
But the meowing went on for hours.
Poor thing had nowhere to go.

Then I heard voices,
I saw a lady pick up the cat.
Gave it a loving hug,
That was the end of that.

To-day it is still raining,
No cats nowhere to be seen.
I wonder how that poor cat is today,
After being left out in the rain.

  1. Aww, poor cat. I often feel sorry for those which are out in all sorts of weather but they aren't daft, I'm sure they must find somewhere to shelter. Must admit though, if I'd heard that one crying under my window I would have been the first to bring it in!

    1. I would have taken the cat in but if I was seen bringing an animal into my apartment I would have been kicked out, as we are not allowed pets. Thanks for your comment Tigermouse.
      Happy New Year.

  2. It sounds like the owner came for it. Poor little kitty. I'm glad it was found.
