THE 2016 A TO Z CHALLENGE: F IS FOR..........

WELCOME TO THE SIXTH DAY OF THE
A TO Z CHALLENGE:
MY THEME IS HOW TO MAINTAIN A HEALTHY BODY
AND MIND
 THE PAUL MCKENNA PHD; WAY:
F IS FOR
Everyone has fears,
I'm sure without a doubt.
But it's how we face those fears
Is what I write about.

One could let it rule their lives,
Or sit down and put it into perspective.
Coming up with the right solution,
Could certainy be effective.

Of course, it's what your fear may be,
Or how deep rooted it has become.
But it certainly can weigh heavily on your shoulders,
Albeit whether your a dad or a harressed mum.

Whatever your fear may be,
Look it head long in the face.
It could be a fear of spiders.
Running all over the place.

There again it could be a fear of flying,
There are ways and means how to rid that fear.
Go along to your airport,
And get the "Flying " atmosphere.

I got out of the habit of going to the hairdressers,
I've done my own hair at home.
But Friday I've booked an appointment,
Hairdresser's! here I come.

So those who have fears or phobias,
Take heed to what I say.
You CAN over come your fear,
The Paul McKenna way.

  1. It's tough at first, but if we do what we fear, the next time will be easier.

  2. Fears great topic! My only fear is of snakes. I hates em! The only use for a snake that I can think of is for a good pair of Tony Lama snakeskin boots. Paul McKenna or my lovely Jesus is not going to get me stop hating and fearing snakes, sorry. :)

  6. This is good advice about facing fears. I have several fears, flying, snakes come to mind right now. I remember I used to not be able to even look at a snake's picture in a book, now I can actually see them at zoos, pet stores, etc. I still prefer not to see them out and about though :)

    Great them for the challenge!

  8. I often wonder where my fears come from. Was I born with some innate, protective device? Did I learn to be fearful of some things, but not of others? Now facing them is definitely a learned skill. Thanks, Yvonne.

    1. I've often wondered where fear comes from....probably something in childhood triggered it off, as the unconscious mind can't tell what is a phsical danger or a threat to our ego fear shows up when one least expects it to.
      Thanks for your visit Lee.

  9. I am afraid of spiders but not to the point of screaming. Bugs in general are creepy to me. I've overcome my fear of dentists instilled by childhood experiences.

  10. Nice poem Yvonne! You hit on one of my fears. Like Susan.. spiders! Not the little ones but the big ones with hairy legs. I once conquered a fear of sailing. I muscled my way through and learned how and have never forgotten that lesson!
