DRACULA'S VISIT:

It's 6-45am on Thursday here
sleep evaded me last night:
DRACULA'S VISIT:
Wednesday morning was wonderful.
Did all the things I inteneded.
Went home for a relaxation.
Then a bombshell on me descended.

My front door bell rang,
There stood "Dracula" in disguise.
Standing on my doorstep.
Infront of my very eyes.

It was the nurse from the surgery,
Wanting my blood you see.
So the consultant at the hospital,
Can see the results before next week/

I cringed in absolute terror.
As she climbed my apartment stairs.
I wonder what the results would show,
That concerns me.....it just isn't fair.

It had to be tested for five things,
I think she took an armful of blood.
She told me "Not to be childish",
As tears ran down my face like a flood.

I was told to "Think positive".
Me afraid of what it may show.
How can I think positive
With my blood group being Rhesus NEGATIVE O?

    1. She came out because the doctor knew I wouldn't go to the surgery.
It was only routine things being tested....I hope.
      Thanks for your visit Alex.

  2. Glad you keep a sense of humor!

This really hit home with me after my stay in the hospital last week. They bothered me with so many blood draws that I was wondering if they had vampires in the hospital that they had to keep fed. I still have a horrible bruise on my left arm where one blood draw didn't go so well.

Got another blood test scheduled next Tuesday. I guess at my age they never end until they have all my blood.

  3. Nurses can be wonderful or jaded. I think it was totally inappropriate to tell you not to be childish.

  6. Hi Yvonne,

I'm somewhat late in getting here. I do hope the blood tests are okay. We have some marvellous nurses over here. I've had blood tests for my blood tests. It can be so frustrating.

    All the very best,

    Gary

  7. One just cringe at the frightening possibilities. Knowing the truth is always a put-off! It is normal though, Yvonne!
