FLAMING JUNE?

FLAMING JUNE?
Our weather here has been mixed,
Just to say the least.
Yesterday it rained continously,
Which really was a beast.

Last night an almighty thunder storm,
Went on for several hours.
I remembered about my modem,
And disconected the power.

The thunder eventually dispersed,
In the early hours of the day.
I sincerely hope the sun
Will soon return today.

As yet it don't look likely,
But I have to venture out.
For some much needed bread and milk,
Essential without a doubt.

Next week it's "Wimbledon Week"
Hope the weather will be kind.
I'm sure that thought is uppermost,
In the player's mind.

So come on "Flaming June"
Let the sunshine return I say.
It will improve the mood of everyone
As they go on their way.

  1. I don't watch Wimbledon but I can't remember a time when it didn't rain that week. Here at the moment we have glorious sun and blue sky and it's very warm, although one of the bosses at work told me earlier that he should have got the 7am train to London today but services were cancelled due to the amount of rain down there. The weather in this country is crazy!

  2. Thank you Tigemousse for your comment and visit, We seem to get such alot of thunder here, whether it;s because we are near to the sea I don't know.

  5. Your weather sounds like Texas weather. You never know what to expect. However, as we go into summertime, it will be mostly hot, little rain or cool temperatures.
