I FACED A FEAR:
As you read I had a visit from "Dracula"
In the shape and form of a nurse.
To take some samples of blood,
Inwardly I did curse.

Well on Friday with intrepidation.
I rang the surgery for the results.
Having got through to the appropiate person.
I took a deep breath as the news she brought.

Everything they had tested,
Was "Normal" she said with glee.
My blood count,thyroid, liver/kindeys
Also sugar level was good yes indeed.

The only thing they didn't test was
My arthitis to ascertain if  it had spread.
But I have to see a consultant on Tuesday,
Another thing I am beginning to dread.

I should be over the moon.
As I hope to get new medication for Epilepsy.
Which for the past year.
What I have been taking has upset me.

I faced one fear on Friday.
No doubt will face another tomorrow(Tues.)
I won't run away from what lies ahead.
It only brings sadness and sorrow.

  1. Oh my, Yvonne, you are certainly going through more than your fair share of medical ordeals. Be well and keep facing "tomorrow".

    1. Well Arlee I have had Epilepsy for 32 years so if I am on the right medication that should be ok. There are people worse off than I.
      Have a good week yourself.
