AN UNPREDICITABLE EVENING:

 AN UNPREDICITABLE EVENING:
Last evening again the temperature was hot.
So an early shower I did take.
Sat down to relax in front of the TV,
Feeling I was about to bake.

I put the quiz channel on the TV to watch.
Light entertainment so good for the soul.
Around eight thirthy I was flbbergasted,
At to what I saw.

Me feeling so very, very hot.
The show "Pointless " came on the screen.
It was the Christmas edition would you believe?
Whilst beads of perpsiration
Descended on me.
On screen, amid Christmas trees and such.
I "Celebrated" Christmas in July.
Thinking to myself  this is madness.
As I looked up at the summer sky.

At the end of the show.
Roy Wood sang his festive song.
"I Wish It Could Be Christmas Every Day".
Thinking a feeling of coolness I do long.

It was an unusual evening,
But great nevertheless.
Looks like another hot day today.
I shouldn't grumble I guess.

Do have a happy Friday.
The beginning of the week-end.
May your day be filled with laughter.
To each and everyone of you my friends.

  1. I always think it's weird when programmes are shown out of season, especially anything connected with Christmas and New Year. You'd think the programme planners would at least keep those for the right time :)

Have a lovely Friday yourself, and a great weekend :)

  3. Yes, strange when that happens! We were sorting out Christmas decorations from the attic the other day so I know what you mean, Yvonne.

  5. I've noticed Christmas in July a couple of places today. Thinking of cooler weather and even snow is nice, but doesn't help a lot when the temperature is 100 degrees. Stay as cool as possible and have a relaxing weekend.

    1. No Sherry, it just seemed strange seeing Christmas fun on a hot evening.
