FOND MEMORIES OF MY MOTHER:
I'ts eighteen years ago today you left us,
The world a poorer place.
In all that time dear mother,
I can still see your smiling face.
You taught me to be honest,
And to myself to be true.
That's why my dearest mother,
I think the world of you.
You were always there for me,
When I needed you..
Your love for me was paramount,
Mother's like you were few.
You gave me the gift of music.
The piano you taught me to play.
For that I thank you mother,
Every genre I love to this day
.
.
More importanly, you gave me another gift.
Though there's been tears and strife.
The gift that I write about ,
Is the "Gift of Life".
A gift that I have treasured.
As I've travelled along the way.
I'm proud you were my mother.
In my heart you'll always stay.
