FRIDAY....HERE'S TO THE WEEK-END:

FRIDAY.....HERE'S TO THE WEEK-END:
Raise your glasses it's Friday.
The lead up to the week-end.
Whether your week has been happy or sad.
I drink a toast to you my firends.

My drink will be just water,
Whether your drink will be stronger I'll have to guess.
Drink a toast on this wonderful day.
Albiet your life is smooth or a mess.

It's the last Friday in July.
Another month gone so fast.
Only another month of summer,
Then the leaves on the trees will be falling fast.

Have a wonderful week-end.
I intend to get some walking done.
To tone up my saggy muscles.
I intend to have plenty of fun.

Although the weather is overcast.
The temperature's are still high.
I walked around the block early this morning.
Watching the birds high in the sky.

Most of all let your week-end be peaceful,
No arguments to mar the days.
Would you believe I saw Christmas cards in the shops.
They're already thinking of Christmas Day.

HAPPY FRIDAY:

  1. Happy Friday, Yvonne. I love the sentiments of your poem today. Warm and damp here most of week, hoping for some sunshine over the weekend. I have spied Christmas cards too . . . I don't want to think about that just yet.

  5. We're to get rain on Saturday, but I'm okay with that. My garden needs it.

  6. Starting the day with a smile is a great beginning. It's hard to think about Christmas, when the temperature is 100 degrees. And what happened to Halloween and Thanksgiving in between?
A happy Friday and weekend to you, as well. Lately I walk in the morning, when it's cool. Afternoons I stay inside and drink iced tea, which I'm about to do now.

  7. Happy weekend to you, too. I'm having coffee as my strong drink. I saw Halloween things in the store today. Not as bad as Christmas but still....
