I DON'T BELIEVE IT:

I DON'T BELIEVE IT:

A while ago I wrote and said
About the "Wild Roses" next door.
Their garden so overgrown.
It made one's eyes feel so sore.

Well, these past few days,
There's been a hive of activity.
The tall grass and weeds hacked down,
The ground one now can see.

Today a new fence has been erected,
The soil being overturned.
There had been complaints to the council,
I was quick to learn.

Now they are planting seeds,
Along the not so wild rose bush.
I really don't believe it.
It really looks quite plush.

I wonder if they read my poem?
Which set the wheels in motion.
They worked at tremendous speed
Like a high speed locomotion.

The children will be able to play
In their new garden no doubt.
I still can't believe it as I write.
I really want to shout.

  2. It's lovely that they took an eye-sore of a garden and created something beautiful.

  3. How very nice to suddenly see a change. Obviously the result of some promptings by the authorities perhaps. A premium to enjoy a beautiful garden. Hopefully it'll be well looked after.
