A HEATWAVE COMETH:

A HEATWAVE COMETH:
Next week so the forecast do say.
A heatwave is certainly on it's way.
Temperatures the highest since records began.
Not the way to get a sun tan.

I well remember in "76."
That was the hottest summer of all.
I had to do my job on an evening,
When the temperature began to fall.

Living in the coast is a bonus,
In so many ways.
But already we've experienced hot weather,
How much hotter can it get I certainly do say.?

So if you're a lover of the sun.
Come to the UK everyone.
Me? I shall consume plent of water and lemonade.
As I try to locate a place in the shade.

  1. I'd take your sun - at least it's only hot, not hot and humid.

  7. I sympathize with you. Our temperatures have been 100 plus for a couple of weeks now. More in the future. We did have a nice rain shower yesterday that cooled things off a little. Take it easy and stay out of the sun.

  9. Bring it on, I love hot weather! The trouble is, we don't get enough of it in this country so we're not used to it. I don't know when it's due to start but I really hope it's nice at the weekend, I'm off on my camping travels for a couple of days and really want it to be nice for my photography.
