MY SPECIAL DAY:
Today would have been my wedding anniversary,
I was married many years ago.
When I look back on that day.
My heart has a special glow.
I recall walking down the aisle,
On the arm of my brother who gave me away.
Tears of joy were in my eyes,
That was evident to say.
We were married on my mothers' birthday.
Knowing how thrilled she would be.
It was my way of saying thank you,
For all she did and meant to me.
It was a lovely happy day,
Albeit the weather was not.
The atmosphere of friends and family,
To me meant such alot.
Sadly hubby and mum no longer here,
Two months separated their passings.
But today I will "Celebrate" alone.
My precious memories everlasting.
