YESTERDAY HERE IN BOURNEMOUTH:

 YESTERDAY HERE AT BOURNEMOUTH:
The day started very wet I may say,
Thought I was in for a quiet day.
It rained heavily until noon.
Had my lunch ....going out soon.

Suddenly a tremndous noise,
Came from the sky above.
Shattering the peace of the day,
A noise I did not love.

The birds flew and squawked in terror,
Fleeing a once peaceful scene.
Flew away in multitudes.
If you know what I mean.

The reason for this disturbance,
Was the annual Bournemouth Air Display.
Which go on for hours,
For three concectutive days.

Four hours later all was calm.
Birds returning to their nest.
All was peaceful yet again,
Me watching the Olympics no lesss.

Suddenly at eight pm.
The birds and I got the fright I'm sure will last
It was the famous Red Arrows.
Doing their annual fly past..

Frightened birds flying off:
 The Red Arrows in flight:
Today and tomorrow it will be repeated.
I'm sure the birds don't understand.
The noise was like "World War Three"
As they fly to a safer land

  1. It must be a spectacle to see Yvonne though rightly a nuisance to be having at night! Just a few days in the year it is tolerable perhaps!
