HAVE FUN:

HAVE FUN:
The week-end is upon us
Once more dear friends.
Have fun and good fortune
Are wishes I send.

I was so looking forward
To this week-end that's for sure.
But owing to Thursday nights weather.
Disappointment has knocked on my door.

A three hour long thunder storm,
Played havoc with me.
No sleep at all,
So remained in bed yesterday.

My doctor advises me to remain
Indoors until the week-end is over.
So that should my epilepsy re-occurs,
I'm under cover.

This evening and tomorrow evening.
To my local theatre I was due.
To see Danny Boy....first time in a few years.
What I'll do now...I haven't a clue.

There will be other concerts,
Of that I am sure.
So have to do what it is advised
If I want to see more.

Life is not all full
Of gloom and doom.
I have the sun shinning by day,
And at night the beautiful full moon.

Happy week-end one and all.
Whatever your plans may be.
May they go along with a swing,
With best wishes to you from me.

  1. Gloomy outside but but safe inside. Staying indoors for the weekend is a better alternative. Enjoy the weekend Yvonne!

  7. Sometimes it's just wiser to hunker down where it's safe. Hope the weather improves and you can go outside.

  8. I'm late with this, but hope at least part of your weekend was pleasant. Maybe soon the weather will be better and you can enjoy the outdoors. Your poem is beautiful, as always. Love the kitty picture. Have a good week. Take care of yourself.
