THE EYES SAY IT ALL'

THE EYES SAY IT ALL:
Iam late today with my post,
As my annual eye test was due.
I was with the optician for over an hour,
A man of words there were few.

He did the regulat test,
Then the questions came from me.
Is everything ok?
This is what he related to me.

"One eye is weaker than the other.
Apart from that all is well.
I suppose you do much pc work.
The eyes say it all I can tell"

Then he mentioned my black floaters,
That I've had for four years.
"No cause for undue alarm" he said.
Which drove away many fears.

He asked was my pc really necessary,
I replied "Yes" rather too loud.
Told him I had a poetry blog.
And four published books of which I was proud.

I have to return in another six months,
Just to ensure my eyes I'm not ill treating.
I replied "Thanks very much dear optician"
It's people like yourself I like meeting.

  1. Always wise to keep a close check on our eyes, glad your optician was able to reassure you.

  3. One of my eyes is also weaker. Also have the floaters.
I think it's pretty common as we age. At least that's what I tell myself. grin.
Enjoy the rest of your day.

    1. Yes I'm sure you're right about age factor causing problems.
I've had my floaters for four years now, most of the time they are ok then if it is extra sunny they seem to play up.
