WHERE I USED TO RESIDE:
In the last apartment,
Where I did reside.(pictured above)
There was a most prominent feautre,
That one couldn't hide.
The area was known as Shelley Manor.
Named after the son of Shelley the poet.
Who used to own the land,
In days gone by wouldn't you just know it.
Percy Shelley the Poet
Percy Shelley Jnr. owned
The local manor.
He entertained many famous writers
Of the day.
With visits of wealth and glamour.
There was and still is.
A theatre adjoining the site.
Where much fun and entertainment took place,
Plays are still evident today each and every night.
Percy Jnr mother,
Mary, of Frankinstein fame.
Was another visiter,
With a famous name.
The entire Shelley family are buried
In a nearby church.
So you can understand why to leave the apartment,
Made my heart luorch.
Today Shelley Manor,
Is my doctor's surgery.
It was renovated a few years ago,
And continues to look grand as you can clearly see.

How cool it is to be able to be around such a place with an amazing history as it has. I'd love to silently sit in those environs and read poetry or reflect on past times. Or fall asleep and dream.
