GUESS WHAT I HELD IN MY HAND?
(NOTHING NAUGHTY)
On Sunday the "Green fingered man"
Who lives four doors away.
Beckoned me to approach him,
I proceeded to see what he had to say.
I asked if he was well,
"Fine" he replied.
Then I saw "IT"
To say I was happy would be a lie.
Come closer he said.
It won't hurt you at all.
By now I was half way home,
Ignoring his call.
But the "Green Fingered Man"
Follwed my steps.
I just wanted the comfort of my apartment,
I could have wept..
He said "It won't hurt you",
As he reached for my hand, all of a shake.
He then proceeded to let me hold
His pet SNAKE.
Well it didn't hurt me,
That's the first and last time.
I fall into that trap.
The end of this ryhme.

I would've been a little leery as well.
ReplyDeleteI won't do it again Alex.

I love snakes! I would've held him. They have such a unique texture.
ReplyDeleteIt was a very lovely looking snake but it's not for me.
DeleteThanks for the visit Diane.
Yvonne.
I'm not a fan of snakes even though I did get my daughters a pet snake when they were younger. Hey, that's what they wanted! My wife has an extreme fear of snakes to the point that she hides her eyes even if she sees a picture of a snake or one on television. I'm surprised that you agreed to hold the slithery creature.

Tossing It Out
Thanks Lee for your great comment, I can understand your wife's adversion to them. I held it just for a brief moment so I could get away. Never again.

A snake? I wasn't expecting that!
ReplyDeleteWhat were you expecting Suzanne?
DeleteI wouldn't do it again though.
Yvonne.
Slithery and slimy, it gives one the creeps. Would not want to handle it at all, Yvonne!
ReplyDeleteHank
I didn't want to hold it either but did so to get away from the situation.
