SO CHRISTMAS IS OVER:
I can't tell a lie and say,
I'm sorry to see Christmas go.
No! I'm not Scrooge
Just a lonely so and so.
I caught up with some letter writing,
And odd jobs around the place.
I didn't see or speak to a soul,
To put a smile on my face.
But there are many people,
Far worse off than I.
I count my blessing daily
As I look up to the sky.
At least I can get out and about,
As to the beach I go.
Speaking of beaches, friends,
Spring and summer is on it's way
THEN OUR HEARTS WILL GLOW.

No family caught up with you on Christmas Day? Not even your son in Spain?
ReplyDeleteNO to both questions Diane.

Hope you felt well nothing wrong with puttering. Nowadays you can be in a room with family and everyone is staring at their phone. Sorta lonely for conversation. Take care
ReplyDeleteThanks for the lovely comment Joanne.
