THIS YEAR THREE BRITISH GREATS LEFT US:
The music entertainment of the UK
Has lost three of the greats.
Back in January Davie Bowie departed.
That I can regretfully state.
How well I remembered his careeer,
I used to adore to hear him sing.
Especially "The Little Druimmer Boy"
When he dueted with the famous "Bing"
On Christmas Eve ..just two days away
Nick Parfitt from "Status Quo
Passed away in Spain.
He was a great guitarist
As guitarists go.
I saw him many times with the band
On excellent TV shows.
He will be so sadly mised
Without a doubt that is so.
Then today I saw with sadness
The passing of George Michael.
I was siting at my laptop,
Motionless.....Dumbstruck.... I just sat still.
He unwittingly played
A big part in my life.
He was my pre teenage daughter's idol,
Before all the tears and strife.
How with fondness I remember,
My daughter's bedroom I recall.
Picture's of George adorned the ceiling
The door and all four walls.
His voice would be heard
When my daughter was upstairs.
He could be heard all over the house,
With fondness I declare.
She even went to Wembley,
To see his Wham farewell show,
Her dad thought she was far too young,
But with her brother and friend she did go.
Three excellent musicians have gone,
With them I send my love.
Thanking them for the enjoyment to millions,
As they "Form a new band" for "The Good Lord" above.

They meant more because in their life time they touched our hearts! One could relate better to them than to others! Very much so Yvonne!
