BURNING BRIDGES:

This is from my latest book

BURNING BRIDGES:
Too  much water has flowed beneath the bridge,
To put many wrongs right.
I should have seen it coming sooner,
I should have seen the light.

Too much water has flowed beneath the bridge,
It's caused havoc and a high flood.
Neither of us were happy with each other,
If I could have repaired the situation then I would.

Too much water has flowed beneath the bridge,
Who knows perhaps it was too much rain.
If only I could turn the clock back,
To not have suffered so much heartache and pain.

I'm burning bridges.
All memories and thoughts of you out of my life.
All I can saywith great satisfaction,
Is, I didn't become your wife.
