LIFE IN SPAIN:

As I should be in Spain but unable to go
Spain has come to me via this poem I wrote some years ago:

LIFE IN SPAIN:
I resided in Spain for three years.
Not far from my son.
I had a super apartment(above)
And plenty and plenty of fun.

The weather it was glorious.
Sitting around the pool.
Making friends with the holiday makers.
And generally acting the fool.

I lived in a place called Benalmadena,
On the Costa Del Sol.
My son has been there for many a year,
And is loved and respected by all

Many the time him and his wife
Would take me out for a meal.
Mother's Day and Birthdays.
So loved and important they made me feel.

We would also visit Gibtraltar,
Home of the Barbary Apes.
There is a huge naval base,
To enter there is much red tape.

Bonanza Square in Benalmadena
 Consits of bars and pubs.
Many of the British congregate there,
It's a place I really love.

Another place to visit.
Is Paloma Park.

It's beauty is outstanding.
Wildlife roam freely happy as a lark.

Many an hour I've spent there.
Watching the children play.
I'd wandered home contentedly,
At the closing of the day.

Well, thats the end of my "Visit".
I hope you've enjoyed it too.
I turn around as I ascend the hill,
Admiring the wonderful view.
