TABITHA:

TABITHA:
Hi ! my name is Tabitha,
I'm a diabetic cat.
I can't go out to play anymore,
But I've accepted that.

My "Mum" gives me a needle.
Each morning and at night.
I didn't like it much at first,
It gave me such a fright.

Foodwise, it's very uninteresting.
No cat meat, milk or such.
I have the dry food variety,
Which I don't care for very much.

But on the plus side of life.
I travel many miles.
To visit "Mum's " friends.
You should see the people smile.

I travel by the car.
I travel by the train.
Should the weather be sunny,
Or should the weather be rain.
So all you diabetic cats out there,
Listen and take heed.
You'll get some peculiar looks,
When you go "Walkies" on a lead.
ME-OW.

She was a great source of comfort to me*

    1. She belonged to my eldest son but he had to move for his job so we took her in. She was quite a character and was diabetic only for the last four years of her life.

  6. Such a pretty kitty. We had to give Hobbes insulin shots. I was really good at it while my husband struggled.

    1. My husband always gave the shots at first until the vet suggested I learned. Good job I did as my husband passed away so I was left entirely alone to do it.

  8. I have seen your photo of the lovely Tabitha before, she reminds me of my own dear, Buttons who lived to a ripe old old of seventeen.
