THE A TO Z CHALLENGE 2017:
My theme this year is RHYTHM AND RHYME:
Which consists of a song and a poem.
Hope you enjoy:
is for POETRY IN MOTION.
by
JOHNNY TILLOTSON:
Another blast from the past,
Although when it was released.
I didn't "Know" what poetry was.
But wonders will never cease.
My first poem was written
When our old dog was put to sleep.
I poured my heart out on paper.
It emerged as a poem so deep.
I didn't write another for some years.
Then our first grandchild Josh was born.
I wrote him a letter after his birth,
A letter in poetry form.
Within another two months,
I'd lost my mum, hubby too.
Since then nearly nineteen years ago.
I've written many...quite a few.
Yes ! poetry is a way of life for me,
I think of new poems all the time.
Poetry In Motion is a good song for me,
As I composed for the "Challenge" this rhyme.

Keep that poetry in motion. You share so much

Poetry is therapy, when nothing else can comfort, poetry does, reading or writing. It must have been tough to lose your mum and hubby close together, I'm sorry you had to deal with grief piled on grief.
ReplyDeleteThank you Nilanjana for your most lovely comment, life was hard but I overcame it. I find it helps to write my problems in poetry form.
