THIS YEAR MY THEME IS RYHTHM AND RHYME:
Whixh consists of a song and a poem:
Hope you enjoy:
is for RAG DOLL
by THE FOUR SEASONS:
FIRST MEMORY:
The first memory I recall,
Was a man giving me a lovely doll.
A ragged doll with a china head.
He gave it to me whilst I lay in bed.
I never saw that man again.
A mystery he has always remained.
Many hours of play with that doll I had.
Could that person have been my dad?
You see he died when I was three.
He wasn't around for me to sit on his knee.
To tell me stories of when he was a boy.
Was it him long ago who gave me that toy?
Every so often throughout my life.
As I grew from a child and became a wife.
I thought of that memory of long ago,
But the answer to that I'll never know.
Now I'm a widow and a grandmother of three.
When I sit them down upon my knee.
I can tell them a story, one I recall.
The day I was given a lovely rag doll.
Me with the rag doll.
From my book
"Negative V. Positive 2008:
A good deed would necessarily leave an imprint on the memory. You showed the appreciation consciously or otherwise because of the strong gratitude felt for him!
