THE A TO Z CHALLENGE 2017: S IS FOR.........

My Theme this year is RYHTHM AND RHYME:
Which consists of a song and a poem:
Hope you enjoy:
is for STREETS OF LONDON
by
RALPH MCTELL:
Whenever I hear this song
I get an "Attitude of Gratitude".
For I have a roof over my head,
Also in the cupboard plenty of food.

I also have at night,
A most comfortable bed.
So when I feel the need.
I can lay my weary head.

I appreciate the lyrics,
Could pertain to the Universe.
There are so many homeles, lonely people,
As I write this "Challenge Verse".

I am so very grateful
For the life I live.
I may have a "Lonely" existance,
But I have so much love to give.

  5. Another one of my favourites - I used to sing it when I was learning to play the guitar at the age of 16.

  6. Ralph McTell has a beautiful voice! Thanks for the introduction. Loved your poem as well, Yvonne. Gratitude leads to more happiness in life, I believe. No matter what, there is always someone worse off than we are. Have a good weekend! ☺

  9. I am so very grateful
    For the life I live.

The richness of existence can vary. But being grateful for what one has is the most noble thing. Rightly so Yvonne!
