IT'S THURSDAY:
Today thought I would have a lie in,
All household chores being done.
I was laying in bed thinking,
If Thursday would bring any fun.
When suddenly I heard a flapping noise,
Saw my curtains moving frantically.
Then I realised a pidgeon had got in,
Come to visit frightened me.
I don't mind birds when they're outside.
But draw the line when inside.
I quickly picked up my keys and fled.
Where oh where could I hide?
I went outside to locate
Anyone who may be about.
But the two workmen from two doors away.
Didn't want to know without a doubt.
Then I saw the "Green Fingers " man,
Explained my predicament.
Came to my rescue this Thursday morn,
As inside my bedroom he went.
He managed to free the pidgeon,
Made me a cup of coffee.
Then went on his way to go shopping.
Leaving a thankful me.
Should you think this hilarious,
Then have a laugh on me.
I've since have seen the funnyside.
On what happened "He He He".

That's a wild way to start the morning! Glad that man was able to help you get rid of the bird.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment Alex which I totally agree with.
DeleteYvonne.
Had birds inside before, to get them out can be a chore.
ReplyDeleteWhat a scare I had to be sure,
DeleteHope I don't get anymore.
Thanks Pat for the visit.
Yvonne.
That was so nice of Mr. Green Fingers.
ReplyDeleteHaving a wild critter in the house is upsetting. The cat once gifted me with a live bird. I grabbed the cat and stayed in the bathroom till the HH got home and showed the bird the door:)
It scared me as I was not fully dressed.
DeleteHad to seek help in my pyjamas.
Yvonne.
I too am not keen on birds flying around inside (although I love them outside) glad you found someone to help you and the pigeon was soon on his way.
ReplyDeleteI too love to see them outside but in my bedroom? No way.
DeleteThank you for your comment Suzanne hope the weather is good where you are.
Yvonne.

ReplyDeleteI was lucky Mr. Green Fingers was home.
DeleteThanks for your comment Joanne.
Yvonne.
And to top it all off, you made a rhyme of it. I admit, what a whit. Thursday's bit.
ReplyDeleteYes Martin I find I can make rhyme about most happenings.
DeleteThanks for the comment,
Yvonne.
There are kind souls around during emergencies. Somehow karma reward those who themselves are also helpful! It normally works that way, Yvonne!
ReplyDeleteHank
Thank you Hank for your very wise words. Much appreciated.

That made for some excitement I'm sure. The only bird you'll find in our house is me.
