THE ISWG MAY 2017:
Happy May to all:
May it be filled with happiness;
The weirdest poem I have written,
Was quite a few years ago.
I was stuck for a topic to write.
What to write? I didn't know.
Then I saw something nearby to me,
Where I was seated at my laptop.
Thought "Yes" I'll write about that.
Once started I couldn't stop.
I called the poem "It's A Green World".
It's featured in my book "Moments Of My Life".
Looking back thought I was mad,
Amid my tears and strife.
I wrote how this subject began,
Through different proceedures so merrily.
What was my poem about?
IT WAS A COMMON GARDEN GREEN PEA.

I once wrote a poem for a teddy bear I saw on the road, during a walk, that had been ripped apart. I called it RIP Teddy. It's on my blog. :)
ReplyDeleteI must look up that poem Chrys.
ReplyDeleteI saw this empty plate with just one pea left and my imagination took over. Thanks for the visit,
Yvonne.
Wow, the muse in you took over, Yvonne!
ReplyDeleteIt certainly did that day Sharon. Thanks.

Inspiration is all around waiting for us to see.

Love this. A story can be found in the most unlikely objects. We just have to use our imaginations, which is what writers do.
ReplyDeleteThank you Beverly for your lovely comment.
DeleteAlways welcomed with appreciation.
Yvonne.
A common green pea or any other subject can be an inspiration just as much. Once started there is no turning back! One can just continue writing! Great sharing of your experience for IWSG Yvonne!
ReplyDeleteHank
Thank you Hank for your few kind words. It's surprising what one can write about should inspiration come your way.

The perfect example of how imagination encourages inspiration! When tasked with writing a Dear John letter to an inanimate object, I wrote it to my garbage disposal ;-) Have a lovely weekend!
ReplyDeleteThanks Diedre for your most welcomed comment/
