FRAGILE AS A BUTTERFLY:

(A BLAST FROM THE PAST)

FRAGILE AS A BUTTERFLY:
As fragile as a butterfly,
That's the beat of my heart.
It's been that way,
Since we had to part.

As fragile as a butterfly,
My confidence took a nose dive.
It took some time to regain it.
Today I feel so alive.

I don't take life or people for granted,
I treat them with respect.
For they too are fragile as a butterfly,
That's what I've come to accept.

People who try and make decisions for me.
Are way out of their league.
I am what I am.
That's what I believe.

To those who do not know me.
I'm honest and wouldn't hurt a fly.
To myself I'm always true.
Positive but fragile as a butterfly.

  6. Beautiful picture and beautiful poem. I love watching the Monarchs as they fly through our area in the fall, heading south for the winter. I just stand there for hours enjoying their visit and snapping pictures. Have a lovely weekend. Thank you for always brightening my day with your words.

  7. The symbolism around a butterfly can be so appropriate. Considering colors and grace butterflies are a natural. Great choice Yvonne!
