MUSIC:

MUSIC:
Where would we be without music.
What a miserable world it would be.
No opera, ballads or soundtracks,
And of course no X Factor on TV.

No walking down the aisle to The Wedding March,
On one's very important day.
We wouldn't have heard about Elvis,
Or Frank Sinatra singing "My Way"

Of course there would be no dancing.
As there wouldn't be any tunes to dance to.
I would be lost without Christmas carollers,
At Christmas.....well wouldn't you?

We would have missed Elton's "Candle In The Wind".
That he dedicated to Marilyn Monroe.
Also the song "English Country Garden"
Where all the flowers grow.

No rock 'n' roll or The Beatles,
Little Richard and Long Tall Sally.
Yes my friends we would have missed out,
On so many things and have gone "Do Lally"

Music has much to contribute.
To this wonderful world we live.
So I salute each and every musician,
For the wonderful pleasure they give.

  1. Musicians sure give a lot to the world, as music sure does flow.

    1. Mentioning Elvis I recall visiting Gracelands years ago.
Very humbling standing by the family graves....and tear jerking.
