REMEMBERING MY MOTHER:

TODAY IT'S 19YRS SINCE I SAID GOODBYE
TO MY MUM:
REMEMBERING MY MOTHER:
Today I remember my wonderful mum,
There will be no sign of tears.
Instead I recall all that she meant to me,
Throughout so many years.

Dad passed away when I was three,
She brought brother and I up single handed.
Not once did I hear her moan
About what fate in her life landed.

She taught us to be honest,
To ourselves be true.
To face up to our responsibilities
In everything we did do.

Her love never faltered,
Though at times life had stormy weather.
Not once did I see her panic
Or come to the end of her tether.

She was also my best friend,
My husband and I  got wed on her birthday.
It was my way of saying "Thank You"
For standing by me every step of the way.

Please listen to the video ,
It's by my Danny Boy.
I thought it was appropriate.
As I remember my mum with joy.
