SEEING IS BELIEVING:

SEEING IS BELIEVING:
I was up and out before dawn,
My clock I forgot to alter.(back an hour )
I needed a hot drink and with no milk,
To the twenty hour shop I didn't falter.

I quickly walked down my street,
To the shopping mall.
When I arrived I was flabergasted,
That feeling I still recall.

Lo and behold from shop to shop,
From one side of the mall to the other.
There were CHRISTMAS decorations,
Brightly lit, my thoughts I had to gather.

They were not there yesterday,
Someone  certainly had worked hard.
Seeing was believing at this
Christmas-like card.

Do have a wonderful peaceful Sunday,
Let happiness be yours.
Wherever you may be,
This side or the other side of the shore.

  1. Christmas is a coming, so the sales start a coming too.

  2. Happy Sunday. Indeed, they shove the pumpkins aside far too quickly. I'm not ready to face Christmas season yet. Let's keep enjoying fall. Hope things dry out for you. Take care

  3. Greetings Yvonne. A nice poetic piece that I enjoyed reading. So you've experienced the seasonal joys of Christmas already! We are not over Halloween yet as well! I've seen decorations in some shops in my area. Blessings to you. Enjoy your new week ahead. Hope you get to go on lots of pleasant walks by the shore.

Thank you. Love love, Andrew. Bye.

  4. Oops....thought I forgot to set back my clocks (which is usually the case!), but online for us says Nov 5. I just wish they'd leave the clocks alone. So confusing. OH, well. For some reason, I'm looking forward to the Christmas decorations. I think it's because so few of the merchants last year had them. I think we were all depressed over the election. Hope your Sunday is restful and just right :)
