DAY AFTER CHRISTMAS:

DAY AFTER CHRISTMAS:
I hope you all had a good Christmas Day.
With happiness all around.
Apart from my new CD/DVD and the TV
I didn't hear a sound.

Well apart from the rain lashing
On my window pane.
I saw or spoke to no-one.
Not a thing I wish to repeat again.

I always go for a walk Christmas afternoon,
This year alas I did not.
I felt like the little child
Santa Claus forgot.

One GOOD thing did occur.
I had a text from son in Spain.
It's good to know he remembered his mum,
And has written to me again.

Enjoy today everyone.
May weather and company be good.
It's still raining here on the South Coast,
I wish I get out for a while.....if only, if only I could.

HAPPY BOXING DAY.
YVONNE.

Hey - a text is a start. You are in his heart!
Take care and stay dry. The sun will come out again soon for you.

  4. It's good to hear that you got a card and a text from your son in Spain, I hope it won't be too long before you hear from him again.

The weather here today was a mixture of intermittent sunshine and heavy rain showers - more rain than sun though and i got drenched while walking the dogs :-(
