GOODBYE JANUARY:

GOODBYE JANUARY:
The last day of January,
With the pitter and patter of rain.
I look at the locality of the neighbourhood,
Inwardly groaning again.

Although yesterday the sun DID appear.
To the beach I actually walked.
It was so tranquil walking on the sands.
Strangers stopping to talk.

How have January fared for you?
After Christmas's fun and laughter.
Here it's been wet and windy mostly,
Spring is the season I'm after.

Do have a wonderful Wednesday,
As you go about your day.
Tomorrow we start yet another month,
Yes folk February.

  1. Greetings Yvonne. A pleasant poetic-piece that I enjoyed reading. Well written with good rhymes. My how January has flown by! At this rate Spring will soon be here. Hope you get some well deserved sunshine! Glad you enjoyed your walk. We've got strong winds here in Chester at the moment - very cold! Blessings to you.

Thank you. Love love, Andrew. Bye.

  4. I can't believe how fast January went by. We had cold weather and warm weather, with lots of wind. Today it's in the 70's, a beautiful day for a walk, if you don't blow away in the 19 mph wind. The cat and I did fine. Glad you got to walk on the beach and met some friendly people. Hope the rest of today is lovely for you and tomorrow brings you more nice weather.

  7. December and the first week of January were great, but since then it's been hectic for me. Hard to believe that the first month of 2018 is already gone!

Not to make anyone envious, but this week in Los Angeles it's been highs in the 80s and 90s (fahrenheit). Nice sunny weather, but that's L.A.

  8. Change for the better! That is what one asks for! The beach sees change everyday with the different crowds. Appropriately said Yvonne!

  9. A happy February to you, Yvonne. I'm running late on visiting today. Took a long nap this afternoon. The cats did too. Cold and windy here today, after spring temperatures yesterday. Crazy weather.
