IWSG FEBRUARY 2018:

 IWSG FEBRUARY 2018:
Hello everyone hope February is good to all.
Thanks to Alex and all who help this group
be so successful.
(A bit insecure this month.)

ALL I EVER WANTED:

There's so many things in life,
One may think they need.
But all I've every wanted these past few years,
Is the love of my family indeed.

Over the years feelings fester.
As this last weekend I've finally found out.
So I've stopped trying to "Build Bridges".
That's without a doubt.

I tried to contact my son in Spain.
At the time he was airborn.
So I attempted the proceedure later,
The result left me completely forlorn.

You see I rang his number.
He answered, I was confused.
He uttered just two words...Go Away"
In a language I never use.

I know not what I've done,
Why this attitude they've taken.
I've lost my kids and grandchildren.
Plus their futures in the making.

All the years of "Hope" I've endured.
Have gone up in smoke.
The "Happiness" of their younger days,
Memories they did evoke

But being the mother that I am,
With so much unconditional love  for sure.
Should they want me anytime.
Always open is my door.

  1. So very sorry for what you are going through with your family. That is one of the hardest things when you are not close to your kids, but it does happen. My late husband's brother hardly ever contacted his mom or us the whole 31 years I was with my husband until his death. Now he hasn't talked to his mom or me in about two years. Glad you still are giving unconditional love.

    1. It's hard Natilie but there is no more I can do at the moment. Sorry your family went through similar and your mother-in-law still is.

  4. Poetry...is it hard to rhyme at the turn of a dime?
Me with words am not so handy,
I just am, what can I say, so cool and dandy.

Sorry you are down and blue,
But here's my cue to you...
    Today, don't be feeling lowsy,
Visit me and be Feeling Nosey!

  6. I am so sorry, Yvonne. You have a wonderful attitude, though. My prayers are that one day, you'll be a family again. I also believe that one day your son will regret his behavior. I don't know how, or when, but he'll realize what he's missed. I've known other families that would not speak to each other. So sad. But in the end, they lose the blessings they might have had with their families. Wish I could help.

    1. Thank you Beverly, I know there must be many like me about,
But all three of mine plus four grandchildren not speaking
is heartbreaking. On the positive side they can't change the fact I'm their mother / grandmother.

      Enjoy your Wednesday.
      Yvonne.

  12. Greetings Yvonne. So sorry your son reacted in such a way, which left you heart-broken! I fell out with my son once, and he hardly spoke to me for three years! I hope you get back in-touch to find out why he responded in such a way, and to resolve this sad situation. Blessings to you.

Thank you. Love love, Andrew. Bye.
