WINTER TRAVELS ON:

A picure of my local beach:
WINTER TRAVELS ON:

As winter travels on,
There's a hint of spring I declare.
For I've noticed the sunrise a little earlier,
Likewise sunset a little later this I like to share.

How good it is not to
Have to put lights on at 3-30pm.
It made the nights seem oh so long.
Feeling like going to bed at 8pm.

It is a time to look forward,
To the onset of spring.
Although frost is on the ground.
There are also no birds on the wing.

But the fact the days are slightly longer.
Is a joy to behold.
That winter's journey is nearly over.
Looking forward to less cold.

Enjoy your new week.
Whatever it may bring.
Perhaps you are also.
Looking forward to spring.

  2. Everyone is ever ready to forget the cold and welcome the greenery of Spring. Life can be as colorful as one chooses it to be! Anticipating can make it triumphant later. Very true Yvonne!

  5. Winter is my favorite season but I don't care for the long nights. Driving to work before the sun rises is no fun.

  7. So cold today and likely to remain so for a few days I believe. But I do like the fact it is dry and agree the days are starting to get a little longer, spring is not too far away.
