Here we are in June and a happy month
to all readers and writers.
Thanks to Alex and team for their continued
hard work on this successful site.
IWSG JUNE 20
Well after a wonderful weekend
Spent on my nearby beach.
Many of life's problems
Went certainly out of reach.
Apart from living for the present,
Another conclusion sprang to mind.
Face your fears in your life.
And happiness you must surely find.
We all have fears that I know.
Know without a doubt.
But it's how we go facing them
Is what life is all about.
Positivity is the answer,
To many aspects of life.
Why act and think negative.
It only causes tears and strife.
I feel more positive and secure today.
The only negative thing about me that sicks like mud.
It's something I can do nothing about.
It's my "O NEGATIVE BLOOD".
Yvonne Lewis 06/06/2018:
Greetings Yvonne. A well-written piece. Well done. Positivity is certainly the way forward, and let's hope others you know emulate the same back to you? Enjoy your day, it's sunny here in Chester. I've just been for a long walk with Sadie - I think she's glad to be back home. Blessings to you. Love love, Andrew.
ReplyDeleteThank you Andrew, sunny here also. hope Sadie isn't too tired.
DeleteHave a good day and take care.
Yvonne.
Positive and secure is a good feeling indeed
ReplyDeleteTaking full advantage of it while it's here.
DeleteThanks Pat.
Yvonne.
great poem with a good message and nice sense of humor shines through
ReplyDeleteThank you Joanne, I think a good sense of humour is a must especially if problems arise.

Love it! My son had to write an essay on optimism, and it was incredible how his attitude changed after doing the research.
ReplyDeleteThank you Crystal for coming by, much appreciated. I've had my share of problems and looking on the negative side didn't help so I'll carry on regardless with all the positivity I can muster.

Life really is all about facing fears, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteYes Chrys especially when one gets older, but there ARE people worse than I so I'll carry on regardless.

And it looks like the PC doc fixed your computer! Awesome.
ReplyDeleteYes Alex late last evening, so was up bright and early to try it out. Thanks Aled.

Staying positive is a good way to go, I try to follow that myself. A walk on the beach is always good to clear the head and put a spring in the step.
ReplyDeleteIt sure is Suzanne luckily the beach is only minutes away.
DeleteEnjoy this month and don't work too hard.
Yvonne.
Feel the fear and do it anyway. (That's actually a really good book.)
ReplyDeleteI will look for that book Diane, thanks for the tip.

Glad you're feeling so positive today. Could really relate to your poem. Thanks so much!
ReplyDeleteThank YOU Natalie for coming by.

Positive is definitely the way to be! When the world is not controlling us to the extent that we are out of control, then we get a grip on things and can feel so much better about ourselves. It's not the rain that causes the pain, but the way we react to the rain.
ReplyDeleteVery true words Arlee. Thanks .

LOL. The last line was great. Life really has it good and bad times, I try to keep in touch with the good ones as much as I can.
ReplyDeleteHi Susan. thanks for your comment, much appreciated.
