PEACEFUL SUNDAY:

PEACEFUL SUNDAY:
May peace be with you,
On this hot Sunday.
People off to church.
To the "Good Lord" to pray.

A day of togetherness,
Within the family.
Of course that's not always possible,
But nonethe less be happy.

Here in my part of the world,
Temperatures are extremely high.
I go out very early,
As I look towards the sky.

Again at the heat of the day,
I shall remain indoors.
Taking life  as easily as I can.
Thinking of my beloved shore.

Happy Sunday to you all.
May your plans come true.
Again  I will say,
I'll be thinking of you.

    1. I looked at the News for the UK yesterday Alex and they forecast temperatures in their 90s.....unusual for us.
I feel restless, hot and fed up.

      Enjoy your Sunday.
      Yvonne.

  5. Right back at ya, Yvonne. It was actually cool when I got up this morning. First time in a loooong time. Of course, the temperatures are supposed to climb the rest of the week.

  6. Are we ever satisfied with the weather Sandra? It is 2-45am as I write and it's too hot for sleep.

  8. Like you, I take my walks in the morning while it's fairly cool. Except on Sunday when I go to church. By the time I get home, it's too hot outside, so I snuggle up with a book or the computer, in front of the air conditioner, and have a quiet afternoon, just being lazy. Have a great week.

    1. Thanks Beverly, we don't have air conditioning here that is why everything goes haywire when the sun decides to work overtime.

  9. The heat can be a distraction. Indoors is a better option, Yvonne!
