KNIGHT IN SHINNING ARMOUR:

KNIGHT IN SHINNING ARMOUR:
Last Friday being the loving mother I am,
Decided to help my daughter and son.
I sent them some cash through the post,
To help with winter heating costs....what fun.

I wrapped up warm with scarf and gloves,
To avoid the frosty air.
Walked to the post office and posted said letters,
Came home without a care.

It was cold in my apartment on reaching home,
The electric fire was a must.
I switched it on.......it went bang.
It had blown  boy, didn't I cuss.

A few hours later I happened to see
The gentleman who lives below.
I told him of my plight
After he said "Hello".

He came to view the sad fire,
Took it to his apartment to test.
An hour later returned with a smile on his face,
He plugged it in with jest.

He used to be a handyman,
And had some new bars for the fire.
If I didn't feel like kissing him then and there
Then I would be a liar.

The fire works perfectly,
My "Knight In Shinning Armour" made it so.
There are some kind people around,
And one right under my nose.

  1. That's weird how you sent the money for the heating bill and then had a problem yourself. Glad you had someone to help out. That's always great.
