I write the below poem NOT out
of self pity but how the extremities of life
changes.
The only person is me to change
my life with tenacity and positivity.
LONELINESS IS....
(an acrostic poem )
Longing for a hug.
Only that is not an option.
Never seeing my family,
Everyday I feel rejection.
Listening to the happy laughter
In the neighbourhood.
No one bothers to check on me,
Except the pigeons....is that good?
Sounds of silence is my life,
Since I've lost much and everyone.
I'm trying hard to cope alone,
Secretly yearning for some fun.

Greetings Yvonne. Sorry you are feeling lonely, and it's alright to express how you feel! We can favour wildlife when we have strife in our life, they can be soothing and calming! I love nature, and many a lonely time spent incarcerated in hospital, I took solace in all creatures, and I used to even feed the ants that lived in a tree with jam and fruit! Blessings to you.
ReplyDeleteThank you. Love love, Andrew. Bye.
Thank you Andrew, I used to feed the wildlife in my last place but here there is no garden or indeed anywildlife this time of year,
DeleteYvonne.
Hopefully some fun is had soon there at your pad.
ReplyDeleteYes Pat hopefully.....
DeleteYvonne.
You need to find a group or a club you can join. There has to be some in your town.
ReplyDeleteI know that is a possible answer but until my Epilepsy is under control I will have to wait.
DeleteThanks Alex for your advice.
Yvonne.
Hang in there. My father experiences some of that loneliness since his back issues. Harder to get out and be with friends or do stuff on his own. But there is blog world - connections in the world. We're out here and we hear you
ReplyDeleteSorry about your father Sandra. Hope his back gets better.
DeleteYes, you're right about the blogging world.
Yvonne.
Hi Yvonne,
ReplyDeleteI understand about loneliness. It can take a lot to just get out and about when one feels trapped in such a lonely world.
I hope, once your medical concerns are under control, that you can get out and about a bit more.
You take very good care.
Gary
Many thanks Gary for your most welcomed comment. The weather too is not good to try to get out.
DeleteTake care.
Yvonne.
I wish I knew how to help you, but my mind is a blank. Do you like to sew or paint. Maybe you could paint the wildlife or the sea. Or sketch the scenes in your poems. I hope your epilepsy will soon allow you to go places and perhaps visit with neighbors. New days lie ahead. I hope they're good ones for you.
ReplyDeleteThanks Beverly for a most lovely comment. My brotyher was the artist in our family, I am more the musical one.
DeleteHoping for better weather and spring.
Yvonne.
